Three stunning parcels of Chardonnay from the incredible 2018 vintage were hand harvested from the Wilyabrup and Karridale sub-regions. The fruit was whole bunch basket pressed directly to barrel for wild fermentation with wild malolactic fermentation and batonnage to build complexity. The wine was aged for 9 months in French oak barrels, 16% of which were new. And elegant Chardonnay resulted showing defined fruit profile, crisp, mineral acidity, great complexity and length. This wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered and a harmless sediment may remain.
